DetailsFamily Garden Club Garden Talk on Cactus and Succulents. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00am in the second floor meeting room. Our speaker will be Dolly Tomalinas who will speak on cactus and succulents. Dolly is a Master Gardener and specializes in Horticultural Therapy with the Charlotte County Extension Service & Master Gardener Program. The talk will focus on the fact that nearly all cactus are succulents but not all succulents are cactus. A cactus is a spiny plant while a succulent retains water in stems and leaves. Both grow in arid conditions. Attend the meeting and learn the details of these species. A coffee social will follow this meeting and you will have the opportunity to meet other attendees and members. Please feel free to joins us. Everyone is welcome and membership is not required. When you attend our meetings you will get to meet our members and have the opportunity to ask them gardening questions related to Southwest Florida gardening.
