Beginning Acting Class
Lemon Bay Playhouse
96 W Dearborn St.
The Lemon Bay Playhouse (LBP) is pleased to be offering a Beginning Acting Class for Adults. Ric Goodwin, LBP’s Artistic Production Manager, will be teaching the class. Have you ever yearned to be on stage, but have never had time or an opportunity to pursue this interest? Now is your chance! Lemon Bay Playhouse will be conducting an adult acting class for beginning adult students age 16 and up. This class will teach the exercises in relaxation techniques, vocal dynamics, improvisation, imagination expansion, character and script analysis, auditioning practices, and moment-to-moment monologue work. Preference will be given to students with little or no acting experience but are serious in their desire to try out their skills on stage. The sessions will be held in the LBP Annex and will meet once a week for eight weeks. The Annex is located at 80 W Dearborn St. in Englewood. The class will be offered Tuesdays from 10:00am until noon beginning on January 9 and ending with a class showcase on Tuesday, February 27th. Attending this offering is a good way to make friendships and learn some of the basic elements of acting. The cost of the class will be $75.00 payable by cash or check (made out to Lemon Bay Playhouse) on or before the first day of class. The class size will be limited to 16 participants. Interested students need to pre-register by emailing the instructor at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, please use this email to address any questions about the class.
