Take Your Dog to the Park
Englewood has many dog-friendly parks where there are designated areas open for walking your dog on a leash. Check out Ann Dever Regional Park, 6791 San Casa Dr; Cape Haze Pioneer Trail Park, 1688 Gasparilla Rd; Ainger Creek Trails, 29490 Winchester Blvd; Kiwanis Foundation Park at Buchan Airport Community Park, 1390 Old Englewood Rd; Cherokee Street Park Site, 67 Cherokee St; Englewood Recreation Center Park, 101 N. Orange St; Englewood Sports Complex, 1300 S River Rd; Lemon Bay Park, 570 Bay Park Blvd; and Manasota Scrub Preserve, 2695 Bridge St. However, please note that dogs are not allowed in playgrounds, athletic fields, or other areas not designated for dogs on leash and do remember to scoop the poop!

10th Annual Tennis Ball & Auction to benefit the Suncoast Humane Society. 

Once again the Boca Grande Club has partnered with the Suncoast Humane Society to present the Tennis Ball/ Auction and Pro Tennis Exhibition Series Matches, a benefit for the Suncoast Humane Society.   Approximately 200 guests will enjoy music, live and silent auctions and food, wine and beverages prepared and served by the BGC staff. Festivities begin at 6:00p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Tickets are $125 and can be purchased at: The Boca Grande Club, Suncoast Humane Society, SHS Thrift Stores, and online at www.humane.org.
