11/26/2017 4:49:00 PM It's Time For The Rotonda West Christmas Parade
The 11th Annual Rotonda West Christmas Parade starts at 2pm Saturday, December 2(rain date Sunday, December 3). An estimated 2000 attended last year and an equally large crowd is expected this year. Some 50 or more floats and other units are expected. Charlotte County Sheriff Bill Prummell will participate, as will Deputy Margaret Stewart, Community Policing Officer and liaison with Rotonda’s Neighborhood Watch. The parade begins on Rotonda Boulevard North close to the intersection with Rotonda Circle and proceeds around the Circle through Pinehurst, Pebble Beach and Oakland Hills to the end point at the Oakland Hills Marina. Santa will be in the last unit in the parade; it’s not over until he passes by. As in past years, spectators are encouraged to bring donations of nonperishable food, toys or cash for Englewood Helping Hand. Any organization wishing to participate with a float or other entry has until November 29 to sign up. Musical units are particularly encouraged. Contact Sue Superak or Earl Haas through the Rotonda West Association office at 697•6788.
