Project Graduation getting ready for the big night

High School Graduation is a time of great celebration for students, parents, faculty and the community. This year’s Lemon Bay High School graduation will be no exception. Months of preparation, fueled by community involvement, culminate in a day that the Class of 2018 will cherish for the rest of their lives. Graduation night tragedies are all too common and the motto of project graduation is “Save A Life”. For the past 26 years the parents of Lemon Bay’s graduating seniors have sponsored an all-night celebration immediately following commencement. This year it will be on Friday, May 18 and held at Englewood United Methodist Church. It’s chaperoned by parents, funded by parents and the Englewood community. Project Graduation provides a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment where the graduates can celebrate in a positive way. There is music, dancing, amazing food, games, contests, activities and prizes all night long. The public is welcome to attend the last meeting on May 10 at 7pm at Lemon Bay High School, room 119. For more information or to make a donation to LBHS Project Graduation call Bobbi Fogo at 474•6715. A car wash fundraiser was held at Key Agency parking lot by parents and students at LBHS with supplies donated by Englewood
Car Wash.
