'Sylvia' at LB Playhouse

Lemon Bay Playhouse closes its 31st season with “Sylvia,” with shows through Sun. June 24. You don’t want to miss this laugh-filled comedy. Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after 22 years of child-raising in the suburbs. Greg’s career is winding down, while Kate’s career is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park, or that found him, bearing only the name “Sylvia.” Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. The marriage is put in serious jeopardy until after a series of hilarious and touching complications. Sylvia becomes a valued part of their lives. Curtain time is Wednesday – Saturday 7:30pm and Sundays 2pm. Information and tickets are available online at www.lemonbayplayhouse.com or by visiting or calling the Box Office, 96 W Dearborn St. at 475•6756 between 10am and 2pm weekdays and one hour prior to curtain time. Reserved seat tickets are $20 each and students $14. The volunteer actors that were cast for “Sylvia” take time to pose for a photo. Seated (left to right) are Ruth Shaulis (Sylvia) and Jim Griesmeyer (Greg). Standing (left to right) are Jim Manns (Tom, Leslie and Phyllis) and Donna Hadley (Kate).
