The HR Florida State Council has named Charlotte County Human Resources Generalist Jackie Stevens its 2017 HR Professional of the Year. Stevens received the honor at the organization’s annual conference in Orlando. The award “recognizes a human resources leader who has advanced the profession in a significant way.” Stevens’ nomination application highlighted her creation of the county’s Management University program in 2015. She has worked for the Charlotte County Human Resources Department for nearly 15 years. “Jackie’s colleagues and I are so proud of her for this award. We’ve known for many years how valuable she is to our team and this recognition underscores the respect she has earned from her peers as well,” said Charlotte County Administrator Ray Sandrock. “I am honored to receive this award today,” said Stevens. “I believe in the power of the HR profession and what we as individuals in this field can do to help organizations everywhere be more successful.” Jackie Stevens, left, accepts the 2017 HR Professional of the Year award from HR Florida State Council President Lynnette Holsinger.
