EnglewoodToastmasters Club Contestants Place at Competition

Congratulations to the members of the Englewood Toastmasters Club (TM) who competed successfully at the Area 92 International Speech and Evaluation Contests on Tuesday, March 7. Jacobina Trump took second place with her speech titled “Letting Go”. Amy Hibberd came in Third with her speech titled “Anger”. The contest winner was David Schutte of Pt. Charlotte with his speech titled “The Steward’s Car”. Amy Hibberd also came in Third in the Evaluation Contest. The speech to be evaluated was delivered by Cathy Silva “Feel On Purpose Formula”. Jacobina competed in the Division 1 International Speech and Evaluation Contest on March 18. The mission of the Englewood TM Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth. The Club meets every Thursday night at 6:30 - 7:45pm at the Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 E Dearborn Street.
