Do you have a favorite charity? Looking to raise money to help out a non-profit organization? Put a face on your favorite cause by running for Mayor Of Englewood For A Day! Cut the ribbon at the Cardboard Boat Race and then ride in the Parade on Labor Day. The 2018 Englewood Pioneer Days “Mayor for A Day” contest is now underway. Any Englewood resident is eligible. All candidates must declare and register by Sunday, July 15. Applications may be downloaded from the website www.EnglewoodPioneerDays.com or can be requested by sending an email to info@EnglewoodPioneerDays.com. The forms should be completed online or can be mailed to EPD, PO Box 1411, Englewood, FL 34275 along with a photo of the candidate, a brief statement that includes information about the candidate (200 words or less), the charity and why that charity was chosen - along a $10 registration fee. Candidate information and on-line voting will be available on www.EnglewoodPioneerDays.com. “Votes” for candidates will be counted by the amount of money raised by the candidate ($1 = 1 vote.) Voting boxes for all candidates will be available at soon to be named locations around Englewood. Email: info@englewoodpioneerdays.com with any questions.
