The 2020 Pioneer Days Theme: Mask-Arade

The Englewood Pioneer Days Board has announced the theme for Pioneer Days 2020. Mask-Arade is a play on words (Mask Parade.) Due to the COVID-19 situation, the celebration will be a virtual parade. None of the other familiar events from previous years (cardboard boat races, diaper derby, etc.) will take place. The Board would like everyone to participate. How? They are looking for past video and photos of the parade and other Pioneer Day events. They also would like to receive submissions of accomplishments – birthday, congratulations, graduates who didn’t walk, postponed weddings, 30 to 60 seconds of your best shout-outs and well wishes for the community. The plan is to air the Virtual Parade on Monday, September 7 (Labor Day) at 9am. It will be uploaded to the Englewood Pioneer Days website, Facebook page, Instagram page and the newly created YouTube Channel, “Englewood Pioneer Days Parade and Festival.” Also being planned is a self-driving parade. This will give those who want to build a float or decorate an opportunity; you can also make posters and decorate your business. An address list of participants will be published for your own tour of Englewood. More details will be released soon, including how you can get involved, submit photos and videos and weekly updates.
