Orchid lovers and gardening enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Englewood Area Orchid Society (EAOS) is hosting its Annual Orchid Show & Sale on Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Englewood Sports Complex Gymnasium, located at 1300 S. River Road.
This event promises a weekend filled with stunning orchid displays, a wide selection of orchids from local growers, essential orchid-growing supplies, and educational opportunities for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts. Attendees will have the chance to explore informative exhibits from local orchid clubs, participate in hands-on educational classes, and enjoy a fun and interactive Kids’ Corner designed to engage young plant lovers.
There will be raffles, prizes, and a chance to win unique orchid-themed treasures. Admission is $5.
Founded in 1966, the Englewood Area Orchid Society is dedicated to educating and fostering a love for orchids among local enthusiasts. The group meets on the third Monday of each month at 6 PM at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 401 S. Broadway. For just $15 a year, members can enjoy guest speakers, hands-on potting and remounting sessions, raffles, food, and prizes. Guests are always welcome to attend and discover the joy of orchid growing.
