SUMMARY:Folk Songs of the Revival
DESCRIPTION:Join Sarasota county musician Robert Killian as he presents a program of songs from the 1950’s and 60’s that were are the heart of the American Folk Song Revival. Robert has performed and recorded with some of the icons of that era\, including Peter\, Paul and Mary\, Pete Seeger\, Tom Paxton and Richie Havens. The concert will feature beloved classics such as “Where have all the flowers gone”\, “Blowing in the wind” and “The midnight special”. This special event is a wonderful opportunity to travel back in time and experience the spirit of a musical movement that shaped a generation. \nSponsored by the Friends of Elsie Quirk Library.
