Tuesday, July 13 was Public Safety Day during Career Week for Charlotte County summer campers at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park. Both Charlotte County Fire/EMS Station 13 and Englewood Fire Department were onsite to give a presentation about fire safety, and to give campers a tour of their equipment & vehicles.

In his book, The Epic of America, published in 1931 during the Great Depression, James Truslow Adams introduced the concept of the American Dream: “that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement.” In short, we don’t have to be born with a silver spoon in our mouth.
