Pizza & Pups
Stop by Marco’s Pizza to enjoy pizza and meet some of the adoptable dogs from Suncoast Humane Society on Tuesday, September 13, noon to 2pm. There will be lots of sweet doggy smiles and yummy pizza for everyone and maybe you will take home a new friend. Take advantage of half off adoption pricing! Puppies will be $100 and $63 for dogs over seven months; senior pets over seven years old will be $37.50. Marco’s Pizza is located at 1970 S. McCall Road. Visit www.humane.org to view the adoptable dogs and cats waiting a new forever home at Suncoast Humane Society.

Dog Heroes Program Training
Has it been a dream of yours to help shelter dogs, learn new skills and have fun? Suncoast Humane Society is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for chosen Dog Heroes to attend a four-day immersive training seminar designed to teach practical skills and hands-on experience to handle dogs. The unique schooling will take place from November 7-10 in Austin, Texas and all your expenses will be paid! You will learn to read body language, leash handling, teaching general obedience, and evolving dog-to-dog social skills. After completion, you will average 5 to 10 hours a week for 12 months working with dogs and educating other volunteers at Suncoast Humane Society. If interested, submit a brief essay or video stating what this opportunity means to you, why you should be selected, and how you would demonstrate your loyalty to SHS. Submission is due by September 30, 2022. Send entries directly to Jessica Pilarz at JPilarzo@humane.org.
