"Men Are Dogs" at LB Playhouse

Lemon Bay Playhouse’s next production is “Men Are Dogs,” written by Joe Simonelli and directed by Ric Goodwin. The show will run from January 16 through February 10. Joe Simonelli, the playwright will be attending 3 performances of his play on January 17, 18 & 19 and you can meet the author and discuss the performance afterwards. In this comedy Dr. Cecelia Monahan has a serious problem. As a therapist who runs a support group for single and divorced women, she must listen to a number of relationship problems from her unusual cadre of patients as well as deal with the unsolicited advice of her live-in mother. The doctor, however, is not above using some unorthodox methods of her own such as hiring out of work actors to roleplay with her patients. It is only when Cecelia meets the new substitute package deliveryman that the doctor must learn to practice what she preaches! Curtain time is 7:30pm Wednesday – Saturday and 2pm on Sundays. Information and tickets are available online at www.lemonbayplayhouse.com or by visiting or calling the Box Office, 96 W. Dearborn St., at 475•6756 between 10am and 2pm weekdays and one hour prior to curtain time. Reserved seat tickets are $20 each, students $14. The crew for the play takes a break to pose for this photo: Seated (left to right) are Kathy Kovarik (Madeline Weinberg), Terry Williams (Allison Taylor), Lora Resignato (Jane Randolph), Lisa Pindara (Loretta Morris), and Mary Goddard (Co-Stage Manager).
