Mosey On Over To The Hillbilly Bankwit

Come on out for an afternoon of fun, food and music at the Hillbilly Bankwit on Sat. July 20, 11:30am-5pm, at the Englewood Event Center, 3069 S. McCall Road. Wear your best hillbilly attire for the best dressed hillbilly contest and enjoy a pig roast, entertainment by local bluegrass musicians the Davis Family, BG Garner, Beau (aka Pastor Tim) & Becca and featuring Rekindled Grass out of Lakeland. There will be baked goods for sale as well as a baked goods (cake and pie) contest. Bid on silent auction items and buy some chances for the 50/50. The event is free and the pig roast is well worth it at $15. Hosted by Abundant Life Worship Center as a fundraiser to help pay off the property for their future trade school to teach job skills to those coming out of rehab or jail situations. To learn more about the baking contest, contact Tomma Rolfe at 258•6291. For questions about the event, contact Steve Legg at 276•1904. For more info on Abundant Life, visit www.alwcchurch.com. Above, musicians at last year’s Bankwit included Jr. Davis, Jeff Cisco and Bobby Taylor of the old Swinging Bridge group.
