Candidate FL House of Representatives District 75 David Jones and Candidate FL State Senate District 23 Katherine Norman were two of the participants.
Candidate FL House of Representatives District 75 David Jones and Candidate FL State Senate District 23 Katherine Norman were two of the participants.

Recently, a small but mighty group of 29 volunteers wearing masks and social distancing could be seen cleaning up wonderful Englewood Beach! The “International Coastal Clean Up” was organized by Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida. It was a great success with several community partners and members that included Charlotte County Democratic Party Executive Committee Chair Teresa Jenkins, Vice Chair Nancy Razvoza, Executive Secretary Jane Merriam, Englewood Environmental Caucus of Florida - Charlotte County, Englewood Democratic Club, Candidate for Florida House of Representatives District 75 David Jones, Candidate for Florida State Senate District 23 Katherine Norman, Keep Charlotte Beautiful representative Rhonda Harvey, and community members. Everyone helped out by removing trash, collecting over eight bags and several buckets that included cardboard boxes, food wrappers, foil, cans, glass bottles, plastic straws, plastic caps and bottles, styrofoam cups, broken sunglasses, over a half bucket of cigarette butts and even a large tire from a barricade! Coastal clean-up days are important to keep trash from plaguing the beaches and the Democratic Environmental Caucus of Florida hopes to do it again!
