U.S. Representative Gregory Steube of Congressional District FL-17 presented a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition to Mitch and Shannon Mesenburg as the FL-17 district’s April MVPs. Congressman Steube stated, “It was an honor to recognize Mitch and Shannon Mesenburg. Each month, I recognize an unsung hero from my District who has made an outstanding and unique contribution to our community. They have selflessly dedicated their time and resources to help Veterans & First Responders in Southwest Florida after the tragic death of their son, XinHua. “The Long Walk Home” is a veteran-owned-and-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping Veterans and their family members make the transition from military to civilian life.
