Port Charlotte local serves aboard USS Harry S. Truman
Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Katie Nichols, from Port Charlotte, Florida, and Aviation Ordnanceman 3rd Class Jasmine Skorberg, from Fort Collins, Colorado, package ordnance for shipment on the aft mess decks of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) in Portsmouth, Virginia, on July 28. The Truman is currently in Norfolk Naval Shipyard for its Extended Carrier Incremental Availability (ECIA).
