F.A.M.E. Coming This November

F.A.M.E. (Friends for the Advancement of Musical Education) is starting to gear up for their upcoming event November 9 and 10 at the Dearborn Street Plaza this year. Last year was very successful. Instruments valued at over $32,000 were donated to various schools. The goal this year is to surpass $250,000 worth of donations since its inception. Some of F.A.M.E. golden sponsors have continued with their generous donations: Placida Rotary, Englewood Moose, Englewood Moose Riders, the Women of Englewood Moose, Gulf Cove Moose and Rotonda Elks to just name a few. Rotonda Golf and Country Club has had the prime spot in the silent auction with their donation of a free year of golf to a brand new member. Blackenblues BBQ and Philly cheese steaks will be back along with some of the other favorites. There will be a Boat of Booze raffle including a dingy with some chasers. Admission is still free. Volunteers and vendors are always welcome. Shifts run for 3 hours and a vendor space is only $50. Items for the silent auction are greatly appreciated. Contact Linda Stevens, 492•1695, about donations. Please contact Denise Pivovar at 460•3096 for information.
