Venice Symphony Presents "Mozart and Mahler"

The Venice Symphony will present “Mozart and Mahler,” 7:30pm, March 22 and 3:30pm, March 23 at the Venice Performing Arts Center, One Indian Ave., Venice. Tickets start at $25 and are available by calling 207•8822, at thevenicesymphony.org, or at the Symphony box office, 1515 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite 7, Venice. Student tickets are always half-price. The concert features two epic masterworks, Mozart’s Symphony No. 41 (Jupiter) and Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 in D Major (Titan). The public is invited to free 30-minute Meet the Maestro Pre-concert talks with Conductor Troy Quinn (above,) at 6:15pm before the evening concert and 2:15pm before the afternoon concert. In partnership with the annual Orchestras Feeding America food drive, representatives from the South County Food Pantry in Venice will be at the VPAC accepting donations of non-perishable food items beginning at 6pm Friday, and 2pm Saturday on concert weekend.
