Current Exhibits at Englewood Art Center
Artist: Julie Randell
Artist: Julie Randell

The Englewood Art Center (EAC), a division of Ringling College of Art and Design, currently has exhibitions open to the public in all the EAC galleries. In the Loranger Gallery, the exhibition entitled “Anything Goes” invited local artists to enter artwork created in any medium or style and depicting any subject matter. “Anything Goes” will be open to the public until Friday, October 22. The Mitchell Gallery features an exhibition of paintings by the artist David Fithian entitled “Coastal Encounters.” David has been a studio artist for decades while also writing, teaching, and curating throughout his arts career. In the Mangrove Gallery, the sculptural work of local artist Julie Randall is on display. Julie manifests her elaborate figures and forms using locally harvested, natural materials. The Members Gallery presents colorful and inspiring artwork from the Summer Young Artists Studios at EAC. These exhibitions will be on view until Saturday, December 11. No reception is scheduled for this exhibition series. The Englewood Art Center is open from 9am–4pm, Tuesday through Saturday and is located at 350 S. McCall Road. For more information, visit www.ringling.edu/EAC or call 474•5548. Photo: An example of Julie Randall’s sculptures.
