Are you ready for a few giggles and humor that touches home? The assisted living home, that is! Assisted Living the Musical®: THE HOME... for the Holidays, is now being presented through Dec. 19 at Venice Theatre, located at 140 Tampa Ave. W., Venice. You will enjoy the gentle humor and fun-filled songs with titles like “Ballad Of The Tennessee Walker” and “The Annual Pelican Roost Holiday Golf Cart Parade”. Writers Rick Compton and Betsy Bennett say, “there are no sad songs, no Depends® and no f-bombs in Assisted Living: Home For The Holidays®.” “Gently funny; touching on topics near and dear to baby boomers and their parents.” The San Francisco Chronicle calls it, “A feel good show with lots of laughs” and says to “Bring your Mom and Dad, walkers and all.” The action of this vaudeville-esque revue takes place in the lobby of the Pelican Roost Assisted Living “Home,” a large, over-55 retirement community where 21st century seniors are partying like it’s 1969. Showtimes are 7:30pm Tuesdays-Fridays and 2pm on Sundays. Saturdays offer two shows, 2pm matinee and 7:30pm. Wednesday matinees are scheduled for December 1-15 at 2pm. Students $15, $20 college students and $34 adults. Tickets are on sale now at www.VeniceTheater.org, or by calling 941•488•1115.
