Englewood Welcomes New Rotary Exchange Student
Julia Mercier (r), a member of The Rotary Club of Englewood, introduced Sophia Villa Halla to the Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club. Sophia is a Rotary Exchange Student from Linz, Austria and will be spending a year in Englewood, staying with four different families, and attending Lemon Bay High School. Sophia is one of five Rotary Exchange Students staying in SW Florida this year. Lemon Bay Sunrise President Dave Wampler is on the left.

2022 Kids' Needs Shoe Drive a huge success
Thank you, Englewood! The GFWC Rotonda West Woman’s Club would like to send a great big thank you to all who helped make their Kids’ Needs Shoe Drive an overwhelming success. At last count, 135 pairs of shoes and 300 pairs of socks were collected. Thanks to the coverage in the local newspapers, several people in the community donated money to this cause. The shoes and socks were donated to the Back-to-School Bash. Thank you again for your generous support to make sure every Englewood student has shoes to start the school year!
