The Englewood Cats Are Back On The Prowl

The Englewood Cats are on the prowl and looking for football players and cheerleaders to come out and join them! Although the Englewood Cats 2020 football and cheer season has officially begun with practices 3 nights a week, they are still registering kids and there is plenty of time to get your child prepared for game day as jamboree is currently scheduled for September 19th. As an organization, precautions have been set up to ensure recommendations of the CDC are followed, including temperature checks and practicing social distancing. The kids will not be required to wear masks on the field but will be wearing masks when they are participating in indoor instruction. Last year, there were enough players to fill all five football teams and four cheer teams. Two cheer teams placed in the top ten in the nation at the National Competition in Orlando and the 14U Cougar football team traveled to Orlando to compete in the Regional and National Football Competition. There are five different levels for ages 5-14 years old for both football and cheer: Flag (5-6 year olds,) 8U, 10U, 12U, & 14U. The fee to sign up a football player is $150 and for a cheerleader is $185. There are sibling discounts and scholarships available, so please inquire if there is a need for assistance. If you would like to sign your child up, you can either come to the field located at 6791 San Casa Drive next to Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 6-8pm or go to https://playyon.com/eaaa/ and register your child. Take advantage of this opportunity to provide kids with a way to let out that built up energy and do what they enjoy doing. Englewood Cat athletes are kids to celebrate!
