Englewood Lions Club Awards Scholarships
Chase Tudor graduated with a weighted GPA of 3.4 and plans to attend the State College of Florida, Venice Campus. His exact major is as yet undetermined, but he is leaning toward zoology because of his love of animals. Chase has worked at Publix for four years and has accumulated more than 240 hours of community service in a variety of roles including at church and working with kids. While excelling in academics, working, and volunteering, Chase lettered in three sports at Lemon Bay: football, basketball, and track and field.

During her high school career, Isabel accumulated almost 700 hours of volunteer service at Englewood Community Hospital and in tutoring at the high school. She served as a student athletic trainer at Lemon Bay, working as head student trainer in her senior year, and as president of the Think Pink club for breast cancer awareness.

In May 2022, the Englewood Lions Club presented $1,000 scholarships to two graduating seniors of Lemon Bay High School: Chase Tudor and Isabel Bruning. The scholarship winners were selected by a committee of Lions Club members for their academic achievements, work ethic, and commitment to the community. The reference letters for both Chase and Isabel are filled with adjectives like integrity, leadership, diligent, and giving. The Lions are thrilled to be of some assistance to their future plans and wish both the best. For more information about Lions Clubs International, visit the website at www.lionsclubs.org.
