Englewood Elks Hold Hoop Shoot
The Englewood Elks held their annual Hoop Shoot at the YMCA recently. The Hoop Shoot is a national event sponsored by the Elks and is held in the fall for boys and girls ages 8 to 13. This year in conjunction with the event the Englewood Elks donated $1000 to the YMCA to buy new basketballs and a basketball rack. Englewood Elks Lodge donated $1174 for the purchase of books during School Book Fair, October 28-30, at Myakka River Elementary School. SKY Volleyball Earns Perfect Season
The SKY Academy Englewood Girls Volleyball finished with a perfect 14-0 season, and then won the season-ending tournament by first beating SKY Academy Venice and then Student Leadership Academy from Sarasota.
