Norman H. "Bo" Arnold, Jr.

Norman H. "Bo" Arnold, Jr. passed away on November 8, 2018 at the age of 58 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Norm was born in Dayton OH. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force and then attended the University of Dayton and graduated from Wright State University. He moved to Ft. Myers and began his teaching career at Cypress Lake High School where he also coached baseball and football. Norm also taught and coached at Lemon Bay High School in Englewood. At the time of his death Norm was teaching at Port Charlotte Middle School and was coaching at Port Charlotte High School. He was loved by his many students over the years and the players he coached.
Norm always enjoyed a good joke or prank, golfing, fishing, his Cincinnati sports teams Reds and Bengals, Jimmy Buffet, a good ball game, a good walk, the beach and reading books. His sense of humor and personality had a positive impact on his fellow colleagues and the respect of so many. He will be deeply missed by family and friends and in the classroom and on the ball field where he played a role in so many lives.
Norm is survived by his father Norman, Sr and step-mom Peggy of Rotonda West and his sister Linda Severt of Smyrna, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Arnold and a brother Jim Severt. He also leaves behind his beloved black lab puppy, Butkus. It hurt him tremendously when he became unable to run and play with Butkus.
