Patricia "Pat" Ann Sapiano (née Totzkay) of Venice, FL, age 85, died on March 21, 2021. Born and raised in River Rouge, MI, she graduated from Marygrove College in Detroit with a degree in Music Education. She married Charles "Chuck" Sapiano in 1960, and the two celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2017. An accomplished musician and devoted Catholic, music and faith played a central role throughout her life. She was the organist for her church, provided piano accompaniment for her children's school musicals, and later in her retirement community musical productions in Englewood, FL. She was an active parishioner in all of the churches she attended, including a founding member of St. Therese of Lisieux in Shelby Township, MI. She will be remembered for her fondness for playing games, knitting, and especially her warm hospitality and genuine joy in making others happy. She is survived by her three children: John (Sheila) Sapiano of Macomb, MI; Joan (Mike) Ogilbee of Parrish, FL; and Mark (Stuart Bonner) Sapiano of Rockville, MD; as well as five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and an extended family of much-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial Mass in Michigan will be scheduled in late spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Hospital. http://giftfunds.stjude.org/Patricia_Sapiano
