On Sunday, November 10th The Englewood Moose #1933 held their annual Valued Veterans Dinner. A free dinner was served to the “Valued Veterans and Their Partners”, and a large patriotically decorated cake was served for dessert. The Lemon Bay Quilt of Honor Ladies (Linna Crotean, Cathy Emerson, Debbie Lynn Dick, Denice Tarr and Babara Kipp) presented Robert Stayrook with a quilt for Valued Veteran of the Year. Lemon Bay Garden Club’s Fall Garden Fair
A wide variety of handmade crafts and cards will be showcased at Lemon Bay Garden Club’s Fall Garden Fair, Plant Sale and Gift Boutique on Thursday through Saturday, December 5-7 at the clubhouse located at 480 Yale Street. There will be some wonderful raffle baskets to be given away, and on Saturday, 11am to 1pm you can get a hot dog and root beer float combo for only $5. Music Bingo at Rotonda Elks
Music Bingo, presented by Rotonda Elkettes and hosted by Mr. Game Show, will be Thursday, December 5, 5:30 to 7pm at Rotonda Elks, 303 Rotonda Blvd. East., Rotonda West. This fun evening is open to all and is a fundraiser for local high school graduating students. Tickets are only $10 and available at the bar (cash or check). No sales at the door. Lions Holiday Fundraiser
Stop by the Englewood Lions Club on Saturday, December 7, 10am to 2pm for their Holiday Fundraiser. Pick up a poinsettia, shop Jewelry to the Rescue, satisfy your sweet tooth with some baked goods, photo ops, take a chance on the 50/50 raffle, and bid on silent auction items. There will be complimentary mimosas and a chocolate fountain from 10 to 11am. Entry fee is $5 which is waived if you bring a pre-loved jewelry donation. Proceeds will benefit the club’s charities. The clubhouse is located at 4611 Placida Road.

American Bombshells Concert
American Legion Auxiliary Unit #113, Rotonda West, FL will be hosting a concert on Saturday, December 7th featuring the “American Bombshells”, a modern-day twist on the Andrews Sisters, at the Post, 3436 Indiana Road, Rotonda West. This Broadway caliber musical spectacular will dazzle you and make you boogie along to your favorite tunes from 1940s favorites and patriotic showstoppers to modern country and rock ‘n’ roll. Perfect for patriots of all ages, their talent is not only to be enjoyed by this nation’s defenders, but by anyone proud to be an American. Doors open at 11:45am. Show starts at 12:30pm. Tickets are $20 per person, cash or credit card, at the bar. This show is open to the public. Concert seating. Only 150 tickets available. Breakfast with Santa
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 113, Rotonda West, presents Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 14, 8:30 to 10:30am at Post 113, 3436 Indiana Road, Rotonda West. Kids 12 and under will enjoy a pancake breakfast for free and accompanying adults can choose a pancake-only breakfast for $5 or a pancake, eggs, and sausage breakfast for $10. Free pictures with Santa will be 9 to 10:30am. Kids will get a free gift from Santa. This event is open to the public and all are welcome to have Breakfast with Santa. NO RSVP needed. Bianca’s Christmas Party
Drag Queen Bianca L’Amour is back at it again; this time she’s brought some amazing friends along! Get ready to laugh, clap, drink, eat and definitely be MERRY at Bianca’s Christmas Party on Sunday, December 15, 3 to 6pm, at the Englewood Elks, 401 N. Indiana Avenue. Rated one of the best entertainment shows in the local Charlotte County area, Bianca’s shows are guaranteed to have you smiling and leaving feeling ready for the holidays!
