The Bishop Museum of Science & Nature is currently hosting a Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit, “Life in One Cubic Foot”, now through Sunday, January 5th. The exhibit follows the research of Smithsonian scientists and photographer David Liittschwager as they discover what a cubic foot of land or water, a “biocube”, reveals about the diversity of life. Biocubes were placed in environments across the globe to learn what life forms could be found in the cube during a 24-hour period. Visitors can build their own biocube to contribute to citizen science. The Bishop is located at 201 Tenth Street West in Bradenton. For more information and admission cost, visit bishopscience.org.
