Scarlet Thayer, community support and an awesome lemonade stand raise thousands for charity

With the help of a generous community, Scarlet Thayer, of Rotonda West, raised over $4400 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital selling lemonade. That’s right…lemonade! For her actions, this very giving four-year-old was awarded the American Legion Auxiliary National Good Deed award on December 16, 2024. It was presented by Children & Youth Chair, Judy Murdoch, at the monthly General Meeting of Rotonda West American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 113. Scarlet was accompanied by her parents, Danielle and Derek Thayer.
