Mango Bistro, an award-winning restaurant at the corner of Mango Street and West Dearborn Street, continues to bring a taste of Europe and the tropics to the heart of Englewood.

Mango Bistro’s creators, Marie Laforge of France and Ricardo Ruggiero of Brazil, designed it as a destination where fresh, original food meets a fun, colorful atmosphere. Drawing on influences from their native countries, the couple combined European café charm with island flair, inviting guests to decide for themselves whether they are dining in a quaint café or a vibrant tropical bar.

The bistro specializes in freshly prepared, made-to-order dishes, including grilled panini, gourmet wraps, authentic French crêpes, soups, garden-fresh salads, healthy breakfasts, smoothies, desserts, specialty coffees, wines, and beers. Owners say quality and freshness guide every ingredient they source.

Mango Coco Crêpe

Mango Bistro also emphasizes environmental responsibility. Since opening more than a decade ago, the restaurant has used compostable cups, containers and utensils, while limiting plastic use and maintaining thorough recycling practices.

Known for its bright island colors, palm trees, and lively world music, the bistro offers indoor seating and a covered porch. Mango Bistro is at 301 West Dearborn Street and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 941-681-3500 or visit mangobistro.com.
