The North Port Police warned people about the dangers lurking on construction sites: enormous holes, slippery ground, and heavy equipment. These areas aren’t just off-limits; they’re genuinely unsafe. 

Walk in or dig there, and you’ll face felony trespassing charges. That shark tooth isn’t worth ending up in jail. The police really spelled it out: you might score some fossils, but you could end up cuffed.

“Don’t learn the hard way,” they said. Florida has plenty of spots for shark-tooth hunting that won’t land you in trouble, so stick to those. Why trade an exciting hobby for a criminal record?
