The State College of Florida will host Tone & Terror on Thursday, October 30, at 7 p.m. in the SCF Recital Hall, promising a spine-tingling night of sonic experimentation and haunted harmonies.

Presented by the college’s Music Production students and Guitar Ensemble, the performance blends eerie elegance with electroacoustic phantoms in what organizers call a “séance of sound.” The evening will showcase original compositions and multimedia collaborations that merge live performance with digital illusion.

The Guitar Ensemble will conjure ghostly beauty through tightly woven strings and shadowy textures, while Music Production students unleash electroacoustic phantoms, spectral soundscapes, and chilling visuals. “This is not your typical recital—it’s a séance of sound,” organizers said, describing the event as an immersive experience where “twisted tones and creative horrors blur the line between performance and possession.”

General admission is $15, with tickets available for $5 to students and staff. For more information, contact the SCF Box Office at 941-752-5252 or visit SCF.edu/Neel. The SCF Recital Hall is located at 5840 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, in the Studio for the Performing Arts.
