Local Leaders Launch “A Women’s Place” Podcast

Two regional leaders in women’s advocacy have launched a new biweekly podcast aimed at elevating conversations about how policies are affecting women in today’s shifting political, cultural, and economic landscape.

Ashley Brown, president and CEO of the Women’s Resource Center, and E. Scott Osborne, president of Through Women’s Eyes, teamed up to create A Women’s Place. The program provides analysis and commentary on issues such as reproductive rights, political representation, gender equity in the workplace, and other timely topics shaping women’s lives.

The podcast is available on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple, and Amazon, with video broadcasts on YouTube and local radio station 96.5 WSLR. Each episode highlights how recent policy changes and social trends are impacting women, with the goal of informing, empowering, and connecting listeners.

By combining policy analysis with accessible conversations, Brown and Osborne hope A Women’s Place will serve as both an educational tool and a platform for amplifying women’s voices.

Research consistently links gender equality with stronger economies, higher productivity, and improved community well-being. Advocates note that women make up more than half the U.S. population, yet the nation ranks well below other countries on global equality measures. The new podcast aims to explore these disparities while encouraging dialogue about solutions.
