Charlotte County Chamber to Host Workforce Roundtable

PUNTA GORDA – The Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce will partner with Florida Gulf Coast University and the Charlotte County Economic Development Office to co-host the Charlotte County Workforce Roundtable: Opportunities & Challenges. The event will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on October 15 at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center.

An expert panel will discuss local workforce challenges and opportunities. Panelists include Dr. Aysegul Timur, president of FGCU; Michael Ehrat, CEO of HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital; Mark Vianello, superintendent of Charlotte County Public Schools; Peg Elmore, CEO and president of CareerSource SWFL; and Dr. Chris Westley, dean of the Lutgert College of Business at FGCU.

The event is designed for business owners and employers. Business, education and community leaders are invited to participate in the discussion about workforce development in Charlotte County. Light refreshments will be served, and beverages will be available for purchase.
