Publix fans have something new to look forward to. The grocery chain’s legendary “Pub Subs,” the ever-popular sandwiches you grab at the deli, are getting a serious upgrade. Publix just announced a new range of brisket sandwiches, rolling out across its Florida stores.
For many people, the Chicken Tender Pub Sub isn’t just a sandwich; it’s practically a Florida tradition. Since it landed in 1992, customers haven’t been able to get enough. With these brisket subs, the deli team is hoping to hit that same mark.
Here’s what’s on the new menu:
Stacked Brisket and Brioche Sandwich

Picture this: a half-pound of smoked brisket piled high, drizzled with a Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce, all tucked inside a buttery brioche roll. That’s lunch with a little swagger.
Spicy Brisket Sub

Smoked brisket meets its match with Boar’s Head 3-Pepper Colby Jack cheese, jalapenos, crispy fried onions from Publix, and another kick of that Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce. It’s crunchy, it’s bold, and it definitely brings the heat.
Brisket, Lettuce, and Tomato Sub

If you want something more classic, go for this one. Smoky brisket paired with fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, and, you guessed it, the Sweet & Spicy BBQ sauce.
Southern Style Brisket Sub

This is comfort food territory: smoked brisket, Publix cheddar, dill pickles, crunchy fried onions, and a generous splash of BBQ sauce for good measure.
Hungry yet? These new Pub Subs might just give the Chicken Tender a run for its money.
