North Port Fire Rescue will host a community open house Saturday, January 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fire Training Tower, 6664 W. Price Blvd.
The free event is designed to give residents an inside look at fire rescue operations while offering activities for all ages. There will be free hot dogs, food trucks, face painting, bounce houses and safety education.
Visitors will have opportunities to tour the training tower and see specialized equipment, including a helicopter. Planned demonstrations include live rappelling, vehicle extrication and a side-by-side live burn exercise.
“North Port Fire Rescue is proud to serve this community, and our open house is a chance for families to see firsthand how we train, prepare and respond to emergencies,” Fire Chief Scott Titus said. “We invite everyone to stop by, bring the kids, ask questions and enjoy a fun and informative day with our team.”
The open house is open to the public, and no registration is required. Updates will be shared on North Port Fire Rescue social media channels ahead of the event.
