Big news from The Hermitage Artist Retreat.
Thanks to an incredible $12 million gift, one of the largest gifts of its kind to a nonprofit arts group, The Hermitage just received three neighboring properties on Manasota Key. The Steans and Morrison families made this possible, handing over the land and homes that the Vanderbilt family originally built back in the early 1950s. Altogether, that’s 6.5 acres stretching from the Gulf to the Bay, dotted with native plants and several houses.

With this gift, The Hermitage can now host even more artists through its nationally recognized residency program. It’s a huge step forward, expanding their reach and making their home on Manasota Key even stronger. If you’re curious about the details or want to dive deeper, check out HermitageArtistRetreat.org.
