Lecture: Pine Island Redfish Project: The Role of Regenerative Farming in Seafood and Sustainable Growth

Biologist Megan Sorby has introduced a new recirculating aquaculture system in Florida, dubbed Pine Island Redfish. Her lecture on Monday, January 26, 10 to 11:30am, will describe the goals of the project to farm redfish on the eponymous Pine Island in Southwest Florida, located near Fort Myers. The enterprise, officially known as the Pine Island Redfish Project, will promote regenerative farming for seafood utilizing the latest sustainable technology. This lecture is part of the Manasota Beach Club Lecture Series, held at the Manasota Beach Club, 7660 Manasota Key Road. Open to the public, admission is $30 ($25 for members), with light refreshments provided. Reservations are required due to limited seating.
