37th Annual Manasota Beach Club Lecture Series

All are welcome to attend the annual “lecture and learn” series every Monday, January 5 through March 23, located at 7660 Manasota Key Road, Englewood.

Today’s Lecture:

Natalie Smith, Volunteer Coordinator, Friends of Lemon Bay Park, and colleagues, will report on hurricane recover efforts and future plans. The Friend’s group is composed of up of 27 active members, most of them retired professionals. The volunteer group has contributed thousands of hours to trail maintenance, invasive species removal and hurricane recovery. The group works on habitat restoration, public outreach and community involvement. Their work following five major storms, including removing more than 50,000 pounds of debris, helped protect sensitive habitats and preserve one of the county’s longest stretches of mangrove shoreline. All events support the Manasota Beach Club hurricane restoration of this historic site.
