Starting this week, Englewood REVIEW will roll out its very first weekly news show, hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Juliet Lemar. She’s a CSUF alum who earned her Emmy for impactful multimedia reporting in Santa Barbara County, a proud moment that really speaks to her talent.

This new show keeps Englewood REVIEW’s focus right where it belongs: telling the stories that matter most to our community and all of Southwest Florida.

Juliet’s journey started at CSUF’s Daily Titan, where she dove into newsroom life and learned the ropes through hands-on reporting. That experience shaped her approach; storytelling rooted in teamwork and a genuine connection to the community.

Since then, she’s built a reputation for reporting that puts people at the center. Juliet covers everything from breaking news to deep-dive investigations into sex trafficking and public health failures. She’s picked up five Golden Mike Awards along the way, on top of her Emmy, and often works solo, shooting, writing, editing, and reporting her own stories.

Her Emmy-winning work shows what journalism can do when it aims higher: inform, uplift, and spark genuine change. It’s a milestone that reflects not just her own drive, but the power of journalism done right.

Juliet stands out as a multimedia journalist who brings warmth on camera, sharp editorial judgment, and the technical chops to handle every part of production herself. Her work has earned multiple honors from the LA Press Club as well, especially for coverage that demands accountability and puts community voices front and center.

After years reporting in Southern California, Juliet has built a career connecting with audiences across digital, broadcast, and social media, always bringing stories to life with depth and clarity.

When asked in an interview by VoyageLA about her career, Juliet explains it best in her own words: “As a multimedia journalist (MMJ), you’re producing, filming, writing, editing, and reporting each story all by yourself—all while staying camera-ready and racing to meet deadlines. It’s a rush, it’s a challenge, and it’s an honor to be trusted with telling the community’s stories.”

Be sure to watch Juliet every week on Englewood REVIEW.
