Loomis Bros. Circus Brings Classic Big Top Fun to Port Charlotte

The Loomis Brothers Circus returns to Charlotte County this August for a weekend of dazzling performances, animal encounters, and family entertainment. Now in its 29th year, the nationally touring show blends the nostalgia of a traditional three-ring circus with modern flair, featuring exotic animals, live music, and an international cast of performers.

Six shows will be held indoors at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds Expo Center, located at 2333 El Jobean Road in Port Charlotte. Performances begin Friday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. and continue with multiple shows on Saturday, August 9 at 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, August 10 at 3:00 and 6:00 p.m.

Audiences can expect aerialists, jugglers, unicyclists, dogs, elephants, motorcycle daredevils and more. The show is led by ringmaster Justin Loomis, who dreamed of running a circus as a child and has since built one of America’s best-known traveling circuses. Loomis Bros. Circus is the only North American show to combine three rings, exotic animals and live music.

General admission for adults (ages 13 and older) is $30 and includes free entry for up to two children ages 2 to 12. Additional child tickets are $8, and children under 2 are admitted free.

The circus also partners with local nonprofits and organizations to give back to the communities it visits, having supported groups like the Boys & Girls Club, 4-H, Lions Club, and others. For tickets and information, visit loomiscircus.com.
