New Community Gathering “Dish & Divine Discussions” Launches in North Port
North Port, FL — April 11, 2026 — Trinity United Methodist Church in North Port is introducing a new community-centered gathering designed to foster connection, conversation, and thoughtful reflection. The event, Dish & Divine Discussions, will take place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church.
The evening will begin with a community potluck, inviting participants to bring a favorite dish to share while enjoying fellowship around the table. Following the meal, a guest speaker will offer a brief presentation introducing the evening’s theme, focusing on topics related to spirituality, personal growth, and the shared human experience.
After the presentation, attendees will be invited to participate in an open discussion forum where individuals may share personal reflections, stories of perseverance, creative expressions, and insights gained through life’s journey. The gathering is designed to provide a welcoming environment where meaningful dialogue and authentic connection can flourish.
“Dish & Divine Discussions” was created to offer a relaxed and welcoming space where people can gather, share their experiences, and explore the role of faith in everyday life,” said event host Sasha Greto. “We hope that this gathering becomes a place where members of the community feel comfortable coming together around the table for thoughtful conversation and mutual encouragement.”
Following the inaugural event, Dish & Divine Discussions will continue meeting on the first Saturday of each month, creating an ongoing opportunity for community members to share a meal, engage in meaningful conversation, and build lasting connections.
The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend, whether they choose to bring a dish or simply come to listen, reflect, and participate.
