Sydney Martin, a Michigan native and creative director of The Artist Colony in Englewood, has transformed the local art scene since 2022. Shifting from construction to sculpture, she established an outdoor gallery at Pioneer Plaza, revitalized community art, and organized major events like the Pioneer Day Parade and local benefits.

Beyond fostering local talent, Sydney helped turn The Artist Colony into a nonprofit, driving significant donations and organizing upcoming festivals. She is actively creating a vibrant hub for artists and patrons, turning Pioneer Plaza into a cornerstone of community spirit and creative growth, continuously driving Englewood’s artistic revitalization.
