A Berry Special Day at the Lampp House

Strawberry Social

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, the Englewood Museum is hosting a special Strawberry Social at the Historic Lampp House, marking a sweet, community-focused celebration of National Strawberry Day.

This event, taking place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (or until supplies run out), invites residents and visitors to gather at the beautifully restored 1928 home of the Lemon Bay Historical Society to enjoy fresh strawberries and strawberry shortcake.

A Taste of Old Florida History

The Historic Lampp House serves as the perfect setting for this community gathering, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of the area.

The highlight of the 2026 Strawberry Social is, of course, the strawberries. In partnership with the Lemon Bay Historical Society, the museum serves fresh, local strawberry treats, a nod to the booming agricultural industry that thrives just east of the coast.

For many, the day is about celebrating the “Still Growing” theme of the 2026 Florida harvest season, recognizing how the community thrives by merging its rich history with new growth.

The event is hosted by the Englewood Museum and Lemon Bay Historical Society, which are dedicated to preserving local history and enhancing appreciation for the town’s roots.
