A History of Early Englewood

Esther Horton and Nancy Wille

Join the Lemon Bay Historical Society for Tuesday, February 24 at 7pm at the historic Green Street Church, 510 South Indiana Avenue, Englewood, as longtime resident Nancy Wille presents “A History of Early Englewood.” Wille, who has lived in Englewood since 1949, will narrate a slideshow featuring hundreds of photographs she has taken over the years documenting the area’s rich history. Esther Horton, vice president of the Historical Society, will accompany Wille and share personal stories of what life in Englewood was like in years gone by.

Admission is free; however, donations are appreciated to help maintain the historic building, Englewood’s first church. A history timeline of the iconic Green Street Church is available at lemonbayhistory.com/history-of-the-green-street-church.
