Boys & Girls Clubs to Honor Charles and Margery Barancik at 2025 Champions for Children Gala

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties will honor the legacy of Charles and Margery Barancik at the 2025 Champions for Children Gala on November 22 at The Ora, a new venue for the annual event.

The late couple’s decades-long dedication to youth empowerment continues through the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, which supports initiatives that give children and teens access to education and opportunity. The Baranciks were instrumental in the organization’s growth, contributing to the opening of its fifth Club and its expansion into DeSoto County. Their philanthropy has strengthened after-hours programs, operations, and staffing, leaving a lasting mark on nearly every part of the Boys & Girls Clubs’ mission.

The gala will include a reception, gourmet dinner catered by Michael’s on East, live and silent auctions, and performances by Club members. Proceeds will benefit programs that promote academic success, leadership, healthy lifestyles, and career readiness for youth across Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.

Tickets are $400, with sponsorships available at bgcsdc.org/events. For more information, contact Valerie Quigley at 941-366-3911. Donations can also be made at bgcsdc.org.
