The Charlotte County Commission is seeking residents to fill multiple volunteer positions across a variety of advisory committees and boards. These appointments offer local citizens the opportunity to contribute to county planning, development, and public services:
Agricultural & Natural Resources Advisory Committee
One volunteer is needed who is a resident or owner of real property in Charlotte County to include representatives of: range, timber and wildlife; sod, hay, aquaculture, or honey production; vegetable production; livestock production; citrus production; agricultural economics; environmental conservation; agricultural engineering or water management; agricultural realty; or rural land use and environmental law.

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
A vacancy is available on the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee. The ideal candidate must reside in Charlotte County and be actively engaged in one of several housing-related fields, including home building, banking, or mortgage banking, labor, advocacy for low-income individuals, affordable housing provision (for-profit or not-for-profit), real estate, or local planning. Individuals representing employers or essential services personnel are also eligible.

Barrier Island Fire Service MSBU Advisory Board
The Barrier Island Fire Service Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU) Advisory Board seeks a resident from within the unit to fill a vacancy through Oct. 31, 2026.
